I’ve always dreamed of being a positive, happy person and I suppose I have been for most of my life. But certainly not to the extent that I see ahead of me now after completing  the Change your Mind Education Programme with Manu. Until meeting Manu in January this year, I had spent the last couple of years feeling like something was missing. I had a loving husband, great family, two gorgeous children and a satisfying job but I wasn’t particularly happy and I didn’t know why!

Manu has pushed my buttons in all the right ways and made me look at life quite differently. I only wish there were more ‘Manus’ out there so that more people could have the amazing opportunity of working with her to fulfil their dreams and understand that the journey of life is there for enjoying!!

Meryl’s healing energetic work has been responsible for a significant turnaround in my life.

I started working with Meryl when I was recovering from a long term viral illness I had little energy and was often depressed. With Meryl’s work I got to a point where my health recovered completely. Meryl and Manu.
I came to Waimarama for a beautiful vacation and the opportunity for self discovery. I left having made quantum leaps in my spiritual journey. The remarkable healing work opened energy pathways and engaged body/energy/mind connections I have not known before. Meryl and Manu you are masters of your craft.

The setting was perfect for the experience. You have made the sacred Maori land with expansive and breathe taking views open and at the same time private for meditation, contemplation, and restoration. The accommodations were luxurious, the food superb and the hospitality was most gracious. Blanketed by the milky way and southern cross, even the night sky contributed to this awe-inspiring experience.

I feel blessed to have had this time with you. Thank you for your wisdom and compassion I am forever richer for it.

What a splendid getaway! If you are after seclusion, beauty, a stress free environment and somewhere rejuvenating this is the place! From the moment we arrived at Waimarama International we felt as though we were in another world; the hosts were friendly and welcoming, the setting was absolutely magical, the view was breath taking and the apartment itself was luxurious. Everything we could possibly need was at our fingertips! All necessities, ornaments and furnishings were perfectly chosen and displayed for our use, making our stay one of ultimate comfort and serenity. I look forward to returning in the future to laze in front of the beautiful fireplace and soak in the view!

Through desperation and my husbands concern it was amazing the impeccable timing that we both found ourselves on Meryl’s doorstep, I am 31 years old and since puberty have suffered with intense migraines that would have me vomiting and out of commission for the day, when I wound up on Meryl’s doorstep I was suffering from these blinding migraines at least four times a week, on medication for life and having to pump my poor body with so many foreign medicines that the doctor had been prescribing and had been in this state for years.

I was privileged to have Meryl work on me to open all of my chakras and was able after the second session to stop the medication and get on with dealing with all things that matter in my life like my children, husband, family and friends instead of been so preoccupied with the state of my health. It has been one of my most liberating life experiences to date and I recommend that all should find their way to her table!!!

Meryl Yvonne is the most gifted healer I have encountered, here or overseas. I have been a client of hers for more than 20 years now and she has assisted me enormously during this time.

She works in a unique way – a combination of physical work and massage to the body with release of emotional blocks and rebalancing the energy fields of the body. There are spa therapists and there are healers. At ‘Hell’s Gate Spa’, located on a large geothermal reserve with hot spouting mud, the indigenous Miri Miri massage was more like a spiritual encounter than your average rubdown. Starting with a singsong prayer known as ‘karakai’ the therapist knew all the right spots to focus on. Likewise, Waimarama International ‘a place of clarity’ is where life transformation happens. Founded by Meryl Yvonne, the remote healing refuge is located on sacred tribal land and overlooks the lovely Rotoiti Lake. Meryl’s philosophy is to help people unlock from past traumas and help one fast track towards their potential in life. Sessions are rarely short of two hours and her client list includes the who’s who of the film industry, while children and animals are healed for little or no charge.

“Wellness is simply about living in present time,” she tells me. “Many people who come here are cured in one session and never return again.” I’m convinced. It evoked the times in life where I am in the moment and not thinking about the past or future when I feel truly rested and the real me emerges. Meryl’s session began with an hour-long honest chat about past issues I wanted to leave behind after which she concentrated on helping me to reveal the things I was now ready to bring into my life. For a couple of hours she then worked on my energy centres, opening them up to help me receive, acknowledge and create my deepest and long-held dreams. My experience of Meryl's healing first occurred in the stunning, luxurious and nurturing space at Waimarama International. The private location with incredible views of the lake, healthy happy animals and native bush, created a sense of sacredness, timelessness, and ultimately a deeply peaceful space. Midway through a busy year I was feeling exhausted, depleted, in need of time out and a recharge. As a full-time counsellor working both in a community agency with young people and in private practice, I am fully aware of the importance of maintaining my own health and well-being. I believe my intuition, effectiveness, passion and energy as a therapist has increased noticeably as a result of Meryl's gift of healing and way of working/ being which addresses health on all levels. I would recommend both a healing session and if possible a visit to Waimarama International to health practitioners as an investment in your practice and treat for yourself. I have sought the help of healers for my hormonal disturbances throughout my life.

 At the end of 2008 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, had surgery and after much thought, Chemotherapy, Radiation and Herceptin treatments.  This diagnosis shocked and grieved me greatly. The Chemotherapy weakened me physically, I was very scared , very weak, and through chemo effects in a lot of pain and dysfunction. 

Whilst starting this lengthy treatment, Meryl was introduced to me by a friend, and recommended by three other friends.

Meryl is a very gifted, strong, wise, intuitive, powerful and thorough healer. 

For me Mery'ls healing is the most powerful and empowering healing I have experienced, spiritually, mentally and physically. My mind and body has been stabilised by Meryl. We admitted our daughter to hospital because she was catatonic. She could not walk, talk, eat or drink. She had not passed water for 7 days other than through a catheter or moved her bowels for 11 days. The next morning after the first session with Meryl she showed signs of physical motivation. Her bowels moved. By the next  day this was followed by emotional motivation and was able to walk and drink fluids.

We believe the holistic healing performed by Meryl played an enormous part in healing my daughter. I wholeheartedly recommend the implementation of holistic healing into the public health system. There is a place for alternative healing to be side by side in the medical realm. This gives families a wider spectrum should they find other methods extreme and hard to comprehend. We also support this method because it is a philosophy that is very similar to generations of Maori healing.

Words cannot describe my gratitude to you for not only your holistic healing but your spiritual and emotional support given to my girl and I. At the time I felt the world was weighing me down you touched my very soul and made me see you were a true healer of the mind, heart and soul. I felt an emotional bond that has been a rarity in my lifetime and can say without doubt I trust you implicitly.

My recent experience with Meryl's work is difficult to describe.
I have both attended and facilitated Executive and Personal Development programs of many kinds for over 20 years.

This is very different. Her work is individual and each session was 2-3 hours long. While you lie fully clothed on a massage table, Meryl guides your mind through a process that takes you inward to the core of what drives your decisions and choices.....the very elemental baseline that is your undercurrent. From there she coaches you toward the expansive; to the outer limits of your possible growth when you are fully 'tuned in' to what is available to you.

All in all she creates a very powerful pathway that leaves you with fully usable litmus tests by which to run your business and personal life.

Meryl is Shaman/Healer extraordinaire. … Hands of magic. A holding in my body since childhood --- gone --- many had tried to no avail. A childhood decision to protect my heart center, now open again to trust. What a relief!

Manu is teacher of excellence, reminding me, “Be mindful”, “in the Moment”, ‘We are everything and nothing’. Easy said, so profound.
